Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to examine the efficacy of the influenza vaccine and its implication on vaccination policy as maintaining or increasing vaccination efficacy is important to public health intervention against this virus. To achieve this purpose a literature review will be conducted based on peer-reviewed research to examine current vaccination policy, efficacy of the influenza vaccine, approaches to improve efficacy, and the gap between vaccination policy and scientific evidence.
