Abstract

Through studying the nutrition and exercise habits of the students at Merrimack College, more information can be gathered regarding health trends during college. Gathering more information on dietary trends, specifically nutrient needs and food group consumption, can aid dieticians within on-campus dining facilities cater more towards the needs of the student population. The exercise trends studied can also prove helpful when deciding if a persons exercise habits influence their nutrition, or vice versa. The nutrition and exercise data gathered can also help provide more information regarding student’s habits that are formed during college and carried into adulthood.
